Liphatech has evolved into a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of pest control products. Our state-of-the-art US facility was opened in Milwaukee, WI, in 1987. Worldwide, Liphatech commits substantial resources to the development of premier bait matrixes specifically designed to carry our active ingredients achieving superior acceptance and control of the target pests (rodents, slugs and snails) for which our products are marketed.
Liphatech, known as Lipha in the early days, began in 1946 in France as a pharmaceutical company. There, research focused on anticoagulants for the treatment of heart patients resulted in the development of three active ingredients: 1) chlorophacinone, in the early 1960s, branded as Rozol, a multiple-feed rodenticide that began to replace warfarin as the rodent control product of choice. 2) bromadiolone, in the early '70s, our first single feed rodenticide active ingredient was developed in the same fashion and 3) difethialone, developed in the late '80s, is the newest single feed rodenticide active ingredient available.
Today, as a wholly owned subsidiary of DeSangosse, Agen, France, Liphatech also markets the worlds leading slug and snail bait matrix under the Metarex brand name. This product, based on the metaldehyde active ingredient, has opened new and exciting market opportunities in specialty agricultural crops such as artichokes, citrus and grass seed production as well as in nursery, ornamentals and landscape.

Generation Blocks contain 0.025g/Kg Difethialone, the newest single feed anticoagulant, and whole food grade grains. Mice, roof rats and Norway rats are readily attracted to this bait.
As well, the Generation range is manufactured with rodent gnawing edges and a centre hole for securing that prevents rodents from translocating blocks to sensitive areas
Difethialone is a second generation anti-coagulant and because one block can kill up to five rodents, the smaller block size allows for more bait placements.

Maki Rodenticide Blocks and Maki Wrapped Rodenticide Blocks
Maki Block is a 20g block containing bromadiolone. Delivered through a unique extrusion process, it is both weather-resistant and palatable. The product comes in a 7.5 kg bucket.
Maki Block has been tested in harsh conditions in a dairy factory (15°C, 87% humidity). The hygrometric conditions were steady for the duration of the trial, ie over 3 months. It was observed that at the end of the trial Maki Block was free of any mould or other degradation. On the contrary, the reference product which was tested against Maki showed sign of mould after 36 days and was completely damaged after 3 months
Maki Block is ideal for use in those jobs that are only serviced on a monthly- or even a quarterly-basis.
It is also well-suited for places presenting harsh weather conditions, be it dampness or hot weather.

It is a no-touch concept whereby the technician has no direct contact with the actual block bait.
The sachet creates a physical barrier preventing pests such as slugs, snails and various insects accessing the bait, protecting the integrity of the bait until there is consumption by rodents.
Many pest control technicians have issues with slugs, snails or even cockroaches damaging and eating the baits inside the stations. Most of the time the baits are completely destroyed before rodents even get access to them. Also the droppings resulting from bait consumption by slugs or cockroaches render the stations dirty and this is often not acceptable on audited sites. Technicians spend a lot of time replacing the ineffective baits and cleaning the stations.
Liphatech now offers its customers a ready-to-use solution: Maki Wrapped Rodenticide Blocks. The new bait will reduce significantly attacks from unwanted pests as well as maximise the effects on rodents. This will result in a number of benefits for PCOs:
- Longer protection: the bait will bevavailable for rodents when they are active.
- No mess: slugs, snails andv cockroaches will not damage the bait because of the physical barrier created by the plastic wrapping. Stations will stay cleaner than with normal unwrapped baits.
- Time-saving: an economical ready-to-use product. No need to re-bagvthe blocks one by one, no need to remove the sachet (rodents will chew through it).
