There are three core units of competency associated with Urban Pest Management Contractor (Qualified)
CPPPMT3005 Manage pests without applying pesticides
CPPPMT3006 Manage pests by applying pesticides
CPPPMT3018 Maintain equipment and pesticide storage area in pest management vehicles


Due to training package upgrades coming in to full effect from September 2021, these units of competency have been superseded and replaced by
CPPUPM3005, CPPUPM3006, CPPUPM3018

PRE-REQUISITES
Candidates should have completed a minimum of 4 weeks logbbooked hands on experience under the guidance of a qualified pest manager

COURSE INCLUDES
On-site practical aspects of professional pest management within both domestic and commercial environments using a range of the latest detection, monitoring and application equipment products and techniques.

ASSESSMENT
The workshop consists of a mix of theory and practical assessments.   
Topics include:
NZ Legislative Requirements
Pest ID and Biologies
Pest Management / Pesticide Safety
Non Pesticidal Pest Management
Pesticidal Pest Management
Equipment selection, use and maintenance.

Students must successfully complete all assessments including a precourse assessment issued after enrolment to be considered competent.  Candidates will be required to demonstrate their competency in a real workplace situation, to show that they are able to transfer the skills and knowledge they have acquired during this workshop.
After the workshop, candidates will need to complete a final workplace practical assessment using audio and video technologies.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be issued with a Statement of Attainment enabling them to act as an UPM Contractor.

PROGRAM FEE

Auckland - AU$2,100/candidate 

Fee is inclusive of all venue charges, practical on-site charges, consumables, presentation materials, text books, and handouts.
Morning/afternoon tea and lunch is also provided within the course fee.
Payment can be made via EFTPOS, direct deposit or cheque any time prior to workshop commencement.


WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING
Biro, pencil, calculator to use during assessment. PPE including a respirator, gloves and coveralls for use during practical component
Suitable clothing and footwear on practical days (typically days 4 & 5) including shirt, long trousers, enclosed shoes, hat & sunscreen
